Beautiful historic property of 52ha, built in the eighteenth century by the father of modern surgery in Portugal, Manuel Constâncio, consisting of a palace of about 900m2 with a chapel, several outbuildings, extensive gardens of medieval Portuguese tradition, green alleys, groves of old cedars, laurels, carob, native flora and a representative area of the romanticism of the nineteenth century. There are also large orchards (1 ha), vines (9 ha), a forest of pine (5 ha) and eucalyptus (35 ha).
There is also an intense relationship with the architecture of water in the whole, with fountains, lakes, waterfalls and reservoirs, 5 water lines inside the property, in non-permanent streams, several dams. Important historical, technical and architectural influence of the legacy 'Pombalino' (from the times of the Marquis of Pombal) in Lisbon.
Great potential investment for a hotel, for example with the creation of themed rooms depending on the time and the various historical figures who attended the property; possibility of construction of houses in trees (in the groves of cedars) for accommodation of adventure and fun; creation of accommodation for tourist groups in the old barn and corral; wine tours in the time of harvest and the traditional grape treading among other possibilities.
At few minutes from the access to A23-AE Beira Interior, 10 km from the town of Abrantes Centre and 1h15 from the international airport of Lisbon.

All buildings on the property are from the 18th and 19th centuries and retain their original integrity. Remain as were built in those two seasons. In all the interventions of restoration carried out, were maintained the original forms, having been the same buildings preserved making use of materials and construction techniques of their times. The buildings of the 19th century built in the following year of the Foundation, don't not collide nor destroyed the originals of the 18th century, respecting the legacy of the founder. The two periods coexist in a logic of harmony, generating a unique heritage.
Residential buildings and services are laid out in an East-West oriented Street. At the extremes of this street begins a long way 'deambulato' that runs along the periphery of the central part of the property meeting the fountains, lakes, reservoirs, gardens and orchards, allowing the 'contemplation' and simultaneously access to different spaces. Manoel Constâncio, founds the property, at the beginning of the second half of the 18th century, and over the 50 years that followed, make it evolve into the configuration that we have today.
Is fundamentally a leisure property where buildings remain intact, disposition and occupied spaces, according to a vision that dive deep into medieval Portuguese tradition of such farms. Such properties were common in the suburbs of Lisbon and Sintra (where are still visible today some parts that resisted the urban sprawl), but the fifth of this particular Farm is a case distinguished from other properties with the same function in this region of Portugal (in the case of the 18th century) becoming a unique treasure that the current owners have preserved and restored.
In the 19th century, the family that follows as owners, added (on the 18th century granary) a residential floor, which gives you the sunny air that the main House has today; over time most homes and buildings have been added to services organized according to a street that starts at the main house. On the hillside more along the lower River and next to the 'deambulato' were built in the 19th century, a series of gardens (now open and exposed to the outside), which are in line with a romantic approach to these spaces.
In the 20th century, there were no further works except for a spacious and well built wine cellar on the street already referred to. Nothing in the past has been destroyed. So, immaculate original spirit and buildings remains (today many restored or in good condition).
